Day 250 - Marvelous Mondrian

We've seen these all over, and I really wanted to learn more about Piet Mondrian and his compositions using red, blue and yellow - so of course I Googled him! And then I thought to myself, "Wouldn't this make a great challenge?" So that's what this one is all about, and Amy used the following composition to inspire her card:

And here is her card:

I just love how these papers look in this grid pattern. As you can see, it's not necessary to use the red/yellow/blue color scheme, but you can if you wish. You can use the composition that Amy chose above, or you can use one of Mondrian's other compositions for inspiration.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Amy, great job - I love the colors and the deer is just too cute. This is really pretty! I don't know if I could put it together like you did so artfully; mine would just look like a mess of papers thrown up, not coordinated. When I see this, I'm like - wow, so beautiful. When I sit down to replicate it - it never turns out right! Lol! So it's always good to gander. :D

So pretty Amy! I looooove that paper!

But...that is a painting? I think my kid made something like that the other day. LOL I will never understand "modern art" I guess.

This is an awesome challenge. I love modern art, because it lets us tell the story that goes with it. I love all art though, but I can see where Gloria is coming from, sometimes modern art can look very rudimentary! I alway see the city and window and wonder what the people are eating in those room. How was their work day, are they happy.
Have a great day everyone!!!

I chose to work with the given colours, but didn't stick to the pattern, hope that's alright :)

I needed an extra few days on this one - I've added a perfect quote to my card!
